Ed Reed Interception, Pick 6 vs Dolphins, Video, 2009 Playoffs. Ed Reed is a bad man. In my opinion Ed Reed and Bob Sanders are the baddest men in football. It is not just coincidental that Reed has over 1,000 return yards. He knows what to do when he picks off the ball. It helps when you see some of the blocking he gets on his returns. Maybe Tarvaris Jackson could learn a little something from Chad Pennington who gracefully falls to his knees inside the five instead of trying to be a hero and getting nearly decapitated as Jackson did against Philly.
If I were a GM starting a team and I had my choice for any two defensive players in the league. I would take Ed Reed and Bob Sanders. These two guys both tackle like linebackers, defend against the pass, and just seem to be all over the field on defense.
If you watch the clip again, notice how Reed starts his return to the left, jogs for a few yards to set up the return, and then takes off to the right.
