Big 10 Basketball, best in the country? The announcer said so

Big 10 Basketball, best in the country? The announcer said so. I get a kick out of people crying out that their favorite conference is the best at any sport. Teams change from year-to-year. This year is no exception. If you look at what the Big-10 has done against non-conference opponents, it can arguably be called the best conference in college basketball right now. I remember Ohio State beating Notre Dame, and Michigan beating Duke on the same night about three weeks ago. It definitely was a feel good moment for a conference that had just lost it’s pride playing football bowl games around the same time.
Saying that when conference play starts that the Big-10 looks horrible, and who is hot, and whose mothers hang clothes faster, etc, is all hearsay. A good non-conference track record will put you in the big dance. Look at the Big-12 and what they did to each other in conference this past season. There were people who would argue that the Big-12 had the best four teams in the country at one time.
Maybe 2009 will be a year the Big-10 can put six teams into the NCAA Tournament and watch more than three of them get to the second round! Just keep in mind that there are upsets in the original field of 64. I would be willing to bet not every Big-10 team that makes it in will advance to the second round. What conference will advance 100% of its’ entered teams? Please leave feedback and let me know what your opinion on this matter is.

The announcer is just crazy. Did he forget the beat down that was put on the Big-10 in the ACC Big 10 Challenge, which by the way the ACC has never lost.
