1984 NBA All Star Game, Temptations National Anthem, Video. Everyone loves it when the Dixie Chicks, Rosanne Bar, or Carl Lewis sings the national anthem, but they all take a back seat to the Temptations. Everyone looks genuinely happy to hear the mellow tones of the Motown sound. I like this much more than when people try to make the Star Spangled Banner into a country hit, or hip hop rap.
