Start Listening to Podcasts Now… Please. At this point I hope everyone understands that I love Sports Blogs. I think that almost every sports blogger is smart, and some are pure genius. I respect most sports bloggers, and there are some that I am a BIG fan of.

Podcasts used to be another story. I thought I did not have the time, but mostly I was just too lazy to figure it out. Then one day I found out that one of my favorite bloggers, JE Skeets, also had a podcast called The Basketball Jones. He costars on the podcast with Tas Melas.  When I heard the first episode I was floored. The show is very entertaining. They know the game. If you listen to the show, your basketball IQ will go up 205 points.

I was hooked, but I still did not jump in head first.  It still took me a couple months till I listened to “On the DL“. Dan Levy’s brings in some of the biggest names in sports entertainment to his show. He is very funny. The show is well formatted. He puts the guests at ease, and in the near future he is going to start posting multiple shows a week.

Now I have been introduced to Joe Sports Fan’s podcast. They have a sports radio show in St. Louis , and the chemistry is off the charts. Pop culture references and non stop laughter are commonplace.  This is the kind of stuff that I find VERY funny. The guests are great. I think they are only on their second podcast, so you need to subscribe to them so you can keep up with it.

In fact subscribe to all three. You do not need an I-pod to to do it. You can download it to your computer. It is 100% free. It just takes a minute. Do not be like me. All Sports fans should be subscribed to these 3 podcasts. Here is a sample. This is the latest video podcast of The Basketball Jones.

The weird – or not-so-weird – thing is that all these podcasts are blogs/were started by bloggers. And you can listen to them while you're doing just about anything – blogging, studying, etc.
