John Madden Retires, His first trip to the booth, Video. John Madden has retired from football altogether. Love him or hate him, he is still a legend. In this video, recently retired Raiders coach John Madden drops by the broadcast booth to talk with Pat Summerall and Tom Brookshier as they welcome him to the team. “That big guy next to you looks sort of familiar.”
