Kobe Bryant on Sesame Street, video. Some people say that this might hurt Kobe’s “Street Cred”. I don’t know about that. Call me crazy, but I have never thought that Kobe had much “Street Cred”. I have always thought that everyone thought he was a poser, and that he had so much talent that he was cool to pull for. Does that make sense?
He tries so hard to be cool, that anyone else would be made fun of all the time, but he is so talented that it is still cool to pull for him. He also plays in L.A. , so that is automatic “Street Cred” and not earned “Street Cred”.
Hat tip goes to First Cuts . BTW, I try to stay away from talking about street credentials, because I live in Alabama, but I have always had this theory on Kobe.
