BBTN Talks About the S100 New MLB Helmet, Video. I am posting this just for anyone to see what all the hubub is about. The bottom line is that the helmet is safer. Who cares if it is bigger. Look at the old helmet. My butt pad was more protected when I played high school football. I hope all the teams just go ahead and order one for every player, even though it is a little bigger. I also hope that the minor leaguers go ahead and get the new helmet. That thin layer of styrofoam was not protecting the childrens.
