Ray Lewis Hit on Darren Sproles, Ravens vs Chargers, Video. This is another Hall of Fame hit by the veteran Ray Lewis. It was 4th and 1 with around 40 seconds to go on the 15 yard line. Darren Sproles could have done absolutely nothing different. Ray said it was just like game film. He recognized the play and timed it perfectly. As soon as Darren got the ball he was tackled.
This tackle will be talked about for a long time, because it was so perfect. It looked like Ray had been inside the Chargers huddle. Me personally, I will think about the play calling. It was 3rd and 1 and they run an ugly pass play on 3rd down and this ugly pulling guard play on 4th. I think they should have ran up the middle 2 times real fast. Everyone knew it was 4 down territory, and I think they could have gotten the 1 yard from running up the gut. Then they could have taken 4 nice shots at the end zone from the 13 yard line.
